Prospects for modernization of the border infrastructure of the Khabarovsk Territory

Abstract

The article notes the high dynamics of recent years for export-import transportation through checkpoints across the state border in the Khabarovsk Territory. The characteristic of these transport corridors is given, including their industry specialization and the rhythm of operating mode at various times of the year. The results of a sociological survey conducted among the participants in export-import operations
on the problems of infrastructure development at the Pokrovka checkpoint are presented; the proposal for the construction of a cargo and passenger checkpoint on Bolshoi Ussuriysky Island was reasoned out, according to which the region’s export rate will amount to 42.4%. Based on the research carried out and the results obtained, a forecast was made for the development of exports of the Khabarovsk Territory through
the existing checkpoints in the PRC until 2025.
